High Quality Metallized Products
Metallized films are manufactured by coating a film with a thin layer of metal, typically aluminum.
The film continues to have some original features, such as toughness and durability, while gaining additional features like reduced permeability to external factors. Our metallizing services provide optical, barrier, and electrical properties.
Metallized films can offer shine to make your packaging graphics POP!
Due to the inherent properties of plastics, some “breathe” more than others. A great way to enhance barrier properties is with vapor deposition. Water transmission through the film can be easily adjusted based on the thickness of the aluminum deposited. Another important gas barrier is oxygen. O 2 often must be managed in packaging to maintain freshness and/or minimize oxidation.
Thermal barriers are vital in many industries. From building and construction to satellite design, from airplane cabin thermal blankets to IR reflectors in your attic, metallized films are at the heart of thermal management.
Due to the excellent conductivity of aluminum, metallized films can be exploited for their electrical properties. Metallized films are a major component in capacitors found in all electronics. Batteries can also be designed using metallized films. You will also find them in static dissipative packaging to protect sensitive electronics.
