Quality Control Line Inspector

Position Description:

The Quality Control Line Inspector must perform dimensional/visual inspections on components and final assemblies using monitoring and measuring equipment  (M&ME) according to the production schedule.

The Position is Responsible For:

• Perform line clearance testing (Go/No Go). In general, Go/No Go testing refers to a  pass/fail test (or check) principle. The parameter for each job, including but not limited to, width verification, length, outer diameter, thickness, rewind profile is tested according to several criteria in order to determine whether the production run can begin.
• Identifying problems and questions and reporting them to the Quality and/or  Production Supervisors. 
• Learn to identify materials: papers, plastics, coatings.
• Must comply with internal quality system, business policies, and regulatory requirements and supports business goals and objectives.
• Helps maintains work-station cleanliness on daily basis. 
• Can utilize basic shop math skills to aid with tolerancing and obtaining measurements of product – tape measures, micrometers. 
• Basic understanding of utilizing an ERP system.
• Capable of working with minimal supervision to support manufacturing needs.
• Reading and following written and verbal work instructions.
• Capable of reading and understands travelers/routers, and work instructions.
• Capable of generating inspection reports and Non-conforming Material (NCR) reports.
• Work with others in a teamwork atmosphere. 
• Helps maintain work-station cleanliness on daily basis. 
• Can utilize basic shop math skills to aid with tolerancing and obtaining  measurements of product – tape measures, micrometers. 
• Basic understanding of utilizing an ERP system. 
• Capable of working with minimal supervision to support manufacturing needs.
